Live In Color Studio is a vibrant nail salon and creative space located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area Founded in 2021.
We offer a range of premium nail services and specials! Our studio also serves as a community hub hosting educational programs, workshops, and events to foster creativity and connection.
Our space is intimate, and our technicians are independent yet co-creative making it the perfect environment to call home!
Founder & Owner
Maurisha “Risha” Allen is a Bay Area, CA, entrepreneur with a background in graphic design. She was deeply inspired by Keenan Ivory Wayans’ hit TV show In Living Color and the show’s emphasis on creativity, as well as the Wayans' commitment to building their business with strong, family-oriented values.
Currently, Risha’s professional endeavors include working as a travel nail technician for corporate events, including New York Fashion Week, serving as a contract administrator for local businesses, advising beauty industry professionals and investors, offering one-on-one training for manicurists, a brand ambassador for Ayaba Wine Company, as well as managing an upcoming nail product line called Pressii.
Co-Founder/Consultant
Aneé Hooker is an Oakland, California native but in her more recent years, relocated and began life in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beginning her career as Personal Assistant and Entertainment Director, she has gained numerous skill assets from various start up businesses to well known establishments! While living in the “entertainment capital of the world,” Aneé began her journey in the world of Entertainment Production producing worldwide festivals, concerts, events, conventions all the while working with the biggest celebrities and stars to date!
When asked by her cousin “Risha” to help bring the vision to life, the Live in Color physical location was born! Thus carrying out marketing, operational and coordinating tasks she was unhesitant to say, “Yes!”
We asked Aneé what it means to “Live in Color?” She replied, “To live in COLOR means to live without fear, to show you are YOU no matter who is looking! It means to live out loud and unapologetic for positive growth in your life.”
